It is with great honour to be a member of Southampton Art Gallery & School and exhibiting my work with other fine artists.
As an artist, we never stop learning or experimenting with different approaches and mediums. This past year, my paintings incorporated watercolours with water-soluble pens, batik and using rice paper in replaced of watercolour paper. This new approach allowed me to grow as an artist and discover new ways to display my art.
After joining the DAIC (Discovery Art in Canada) groups in 2012, my direction of art went back to basics and have enjoyed the challenge of scratch art. I am one of the founding members of the Saugeen Artist Co op established in 2006.
As a watercolour teacher since 2001, I’ve learned to instill art appreciation to my students and promote creativity. I have proved the ability to maintain a highly motivated classroom and offer individualized support and provide encouragement to ensure that each student succeeds. I am associated with the Southampton Art School and Coast to Coast Art Event conventions.
