Born in 1980, Jenny Lee Learn grew up in Bruce County. She attended post secondary school in Barrie, Ontario. She did some exploring, including a year of working and travelling in Australia and New Zealand. In 2005 she landed back in Bruce County. Jenny Lee and her husband completely renovated an old farm house at Gould Lake where she now lives with her two young daughters, black lab, fat cat and chickens.
Jenny Lee creates watercolour paintings and as of 2013 mixed-media pieces. Her work is inspired by her mood, beautiful local scenery and the weather. Jenny Lee admires and has studied under several local artists such as Jane Champagne, Kai Liis McInnes, Wendy Bachiu and Asher Sadeh.
Jenny Lee has worked in several other fields including parks and recreation. The common denominator while working any of her different jobs has been her genuine enthusiasm to help others and her strong desire to paint, draw and create.
As of January 2013 Jenny Lee decided to concentrate on her art full time. Jenny Lee hopes to create some great works and sell some, but ultimately inspire others, while having fun and enjoying journey we call life!
