Marion R. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Windsor, Masters of Education at the University of Western Ontario and her Visual Arts Honours Specialist at the University of Toronto. She is an active member of the Central Ontario Art Association (COAA) and is represented by Gallery Double-T, Waterloo, Ontario. She is the feature artist in the Kitchener – Conestoga Rotary Dream Home annually! Marion has recently been featured in the book Talent Next Door (Waterloo Region).
Currently, Anderson is the Visual Arts Department Head for the Waterloo Region District School Board at Waterloo – Oxford District Secondary School. She also teaches for the Southampton Art School and Conestoga College at the Homer Watson House and Gallery in Doon. Because it is important to Anderson to balance the theoretical with the practical, she encourages her students to express themselves through art, while producing and marketing her own artwork.
Originally from Kent County, Anderson currently makes her home and studio in New Dundee, Ontario, Canada.
